WordPress Development Coding and Implementation A Certain Large General Hospital

A Certain Large General Hospital

A Certain Large General Hospital

A case study of a website developed exclusively for healthcare professionals. We didn’t just carefully bring the provided design to life; we also built a backend system that allows for analyzing “who took what actions” after the site went live. We place just as much importance on usability and data collection as we do on visual appeal.

Coding and ImplementationOur Commitment to Craftsmanship

“We have a design, but we’re stuck on the implementation”—we sometimes receive inquiries like this from our agency clients.

Due to the nature of agency projects, we cannot disclose specific hospital names or the full scope of the design here, but I’d like to share a little about the ingenuity we put into the “behind-the-scenes implementation”—the aspects not visible on the front end.

For this project, Lake and Moon Design was responsible for the “coding” and “WordPress implementation” aspects.

Building a GTM Integration System to Ensure Uninterrupted Data Collection

One of the features we focused on most from a technical standpoint in this project was “integrating pop-up forms with analytics tools.”

This site features a crucial pop-up form that appears as soon as a user visits the site.

It would be a bit of a waste to make this form merely something users can “fill out and submit,” wouldn’t it? After all, building a website isn’t the end—what’s most important is how you nurture it after launch.

Therefore, we built a system that accurately passes user actions—such as form submission data—to Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager (GTM).

This allows our clients to accumulate valuable data—such as “what kind of people took what actions”—without missing a single data point.

It’s not just about displaying the provided design on the screen; it’s about creating a structure that reliably captures the “facts in numbers” that form the foundation for marketing once the site enters the operational phase.

I believe that is also an important role for those responsible for implementation.

Giving “Meaning” to the Code Behind the Scenes

The design shared with us by the agency featured beautiful white space that conveyed the integrity and cleanliness expected of a medical institution. We took great care in our coding to capture the intent of that design and ensure it was optimally rendered in a web browser.

To ensure that busy medical professionals can access information without getting lost, we not only prioritized visual appeal but also thoroughly implemented “meaningful and appropriate markup (semantic HTML)” that is search engine-friendly and compatible with screen readers.

Furthermore, we customized the WordPress admin panel—which on-site staff use for daily updates—to be as simple as possible, ensuring it’s intuitive and easy to navigate even without knowledge of technical
jargon.

We believe that incorporating a little “thoughtfulness” even into the code and backend administration interface—
which are hidden from view—forms the foundation for a website that operates stably over the long term.

Summary

At Lake and Moon Design, while we certainly handle end-to-end projects—from planning through design and implementation—we also value partnerships focused solely on “implementation (coding and WordPress development),” such as this one.

If you’re thinking, “I have a design ready, but I’m facing hurdles with implementation—like interactivity or data integration,” or “I’m looking for a coder who can bring my vision to life on the web in the best possible way,” please feel free to reach out.
